Mike is responsible for managing The Hartling Group's finances, including accounting, reporting, controls and procedures. He works closely with Stan Hartling, performing inter-company transactions, and projects forecasting and budgeting. He also acts as a liaison between investors and individual condominium owners, as well as between the management teams of The Sands at Grace Bay and The Regent Palms.

Mike is a qualified accountant and a fellow of the British Association of Hotel Accountants. He started his career with the Royal Garden Hotel in London and then joined Trusthouse Forte Hotels as Chief Accountant. He then spent four years with Ramada Hotels International, initially as Financial Controller in the Middle East and subsequently as Chief Financial Officer for the UK.

Mike brings with him over 15 years experience in hotel operations and development in the Caribbean and Europe and most recently has just completed over 10 years in hotel and property development in Cyprus. Mike returned to the Caribbean last year and joined the Hartling Group in August 2009.
